Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Mobile Pet Salon In Hillsborough
James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Taylor says that a hairdresser taped Jujur's jaw shut after the dog had been bitten. As a result, Jujur became bloody and upset.
Taylor explained, "My pet was clearly distressed. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Jujur's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."
Puppy Lux, an on-the-go pet salon, employed the groomer that was responsible for this.
James took Juju straight to the hospital for emergency medical care. He has accused Puppy Lux of animal abuse, joining numerous others who have made similar allegations. San Mateo's Office has now launched an animal cruelty investigation into Puppy Lux.
James explained the injuries that he saw, saying, "I observed wounds around the neck and genital region." The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."
Jack Smithr, a customer of Puppy Lux, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. Another customer captured a Snapchat video showing a dog in apparent pain, claiming that a groomer had forcefully inserted a napkin into the dog's ear.
Puppy Lux, in addition to the bad Yelp reviews and the fact that he was trusted to take care of their pets, wants his customers to know what the groomer said. James said, "Jonny told me that tapering the mouth shut was a normal, acceptable method. He claimed it is better than using a muzzle which, according to him, can be harmful for dogs. He said that he uses the method himself on his dogs.
Fox called Puppy Lux and she answered, but then handed the phone over to another woman who told Fox that they animal abuse beating were looking into the allegations. However, when questioned about Puppy Lux, she quickly asserted that it was a separate entity before abruptly ending the call.
